Rep. Foxx has represented the 5th District of North Carolina since 2005. She has long been a champion of conservative priorities in Congress, including reducing federal spending and strengthening government oversight and accountability. Prior to joining Congress, she served 10 years in the state Senate. Before her career in public service, she was an instructor at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute and Appalachian State University.
