The Supreme Court has consistently found that adults have the right to raise their children as they see fit. For instance, in Pierce v. Society of Sisters (1925), the Court held that parents can choose to send their children to private, instead of public, schools.Similarly, in Wisconsin v. Yoder (1972), the Court ruled that Amish families, in keeping with their beliefs, were not required to send their children to secondary schools of any kind.
