Richard A. Hibey, Counsel of RecordSun-Diamond Growers is an association of agricultural companies in California. A jury trial in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia convicted Sun-Diamond of giving unlawful gratuities to Secretary of Agriculture Mike Espy. The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals reversed the conviction on March 20, 1998. Mr. Hibey heads the Washington, D.C., litigation practice at the law firm Winston & Strawn.
