Minister Mohamed Bedjaoui
Algeria served as an elected member of the United Nations Security Council from 2004 to 2005. It joined the UN on October 8, 1962. Mohamed Bedjaoui has served as Algeria’s foreign minister since May 2005. From 1994 to 1997, he was president of the International Court of Justice in The Hague, The Netherlands.
