The CCCO, founded in 1948, supports and promotes individual and collective resistance to war and preparations for war. It is an independent, nonprofit organization funded primarily by voluntary, tax-deductible contributions. Steve Morse has been active in antiwar veterans’ organizations, including Veterans for Peace, Veteran Speakers’ Alliance, and Vietnam Veterans Against the War. In 1999, he joined the board of CCCO and became a volunteer on the GI Rights Hotline.
