Minister John Baird
Canada became an Annex I party to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change on March 21, 1994. It acceded to the Kyoto Protocol on February 16, 2005. John Baird has served as Canada’s Minister of the Environment since January 2007. Prior to that he was president of the Treasury Board.
