Charles R. Schuster, Ph.D., is director of the Substance Abuse Clinical Research Division and a professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences at Wayne State University. He is also an adjunct professor of psychiatry at the University of Michigan and a member of the World Health Organization Expert Committee on Drug Dependence. He is a former director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) within the National Institutes of Health.
