In May 2018, the Supreme Court overturned a 25-year-old law titled the Professional and Amateur Sports Pro­tection Act (PAPSA). Sports betting had been against the law in almost all States since 1992. Since then, New Jersey, Delaware, Mississippi, West Virginia, and New Mexico have legalized it.
