Walter Berns, Resident Scholar
Founded in 1943, the Washington, D.C.-based American Enterprise Institute is one of America’s largest think tanks. AEI research covers economics and trade; social welfare; government, tax, spending, regulatory, and legal policies; U.S. politics; international affairs; and U.S. defense and foreign policy. The Institute’s 50 resident scholars and fellows include economists, legal scholars, political scientists, and foreign policy experts. Walter Berns’s research areas at AEI include constitutional law, legal issues, and political philosophy. In addition to his work at AEI, Berns is John M.
