Representative Hulshof, of the Ninth District of Missouri, was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1996. After working as an attorney for the Cape Girardeau (Missouri) County Public Defender’s Office and the Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney’ s Office, he served from 1989 to 1996 as a Special Prosecutor for the Missouri Attorney General’s Office. He is a member of the Ways and Means Committee and the Budget Committee. He also serves on the House Policy Committee, where he chairs the Tax Reform Subcommittee.
