One of itsparks, Pioneer Park, contains a variety of buildings, monuments, plaques, andmemorials that either portray the Mormon pioneer-era heritage of the town orare contributions of local civic groups. One of these monuments, donated by theFraternal Order of Eagles in 1971, depicts the Ten Commandments. On September 5, 2003, Summum, areligious group, requested permission to erect a monument to Seven Aphorisms, acentral tenet of its theology, in Pioneer Park.
