The following describes the case against former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic, now before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). The trial began September 26, 2002. Indictment "Kosovo" Factual Allegations. The second amended indictment, confirmed on October 29, 2001, alleges that between January 1, 1999, and June 20, 1999, forces of the FRY [Federal Republic of Yugoslavia] and Serbia, acting at the direction, with the encouragement, or with the support of the accused, executed a campaign of terror and violence directed at Kosovo Albanian civilians.
