Refugees International is a nongovernmental organization dedicated to providing humanitarian assistance and protection for displaced people around the world and working to end the conditions that create displacement. Kenneth H. Bacon has been president of Refugees International since 2001. From 1994–2001, he served in the Department of Defense as Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs.
