Representative Hinojosa, of the Fifteenth District of Texas, was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1996. He was the President and CEO of H&H foods from 1962 to 1982, and served on the Texas Board of Education from 1974 to 1984. He sits on the Committee on Education and the Workforce, where he is the Ranking Minority Member of the Subcommittee on Higher Education and Workforce Training, and on the Financial Services Committee.
