Ambassador Baso Sangqu
South Africa has been a member of the UN since November 7, 1945. Its two-year term as an elected member of the UN Security Council expires on December 31, 2012. Baso Sangqu has served as South Africa’s Permanent Representative to the UN since March 2009.
