In one of the first arguments of the October 2006 term, the U.S. Supreme Court considered a case that deals with public displays during jury trials and the congressionally mandated balance between State and Federal courts.On October 16, 1995, Mathew Musladin went on trial for the murder of his estranged wife’s fiancé, Tom Studer, which occurred following an argument between Musladin and his wife over custody of their three-year-old child.
