Senator Hatch was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 1976. He was a practicing attorney from 1962 to 1976. He sits on the following committees: Aging; Finance; Judiciary; Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions; the Select Committee on Intelligence; and the Joint Committee on Taxation.
