Following are the key provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, signed into law by President Barack Obama as Public Law 111-5. Clean, Efficient, American Energy Smart Grid/Advanced Battery Technology/Energy Efficiency. Modernizes the electricity grid to make it more efficient and reliable. Guarantees up to $60 billion in loans for renewable energy power generation and electric transmission projects that begin in the next two years. Weatherization.
