The first session of the 109th Congress adjourned on December 22, 2005.Katrina Emergency Supplemental Appropriations — On September 8, by a unanimous vote, the Senate passed H.R. 3673, making emergency supplemental appropriations to meet immediate needs arising from the consequences of Hurricane Katrina, for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2005.
