TCS, founded in 1995, is dedicated to cutting wasteful government spending and subsidies to achieve a responsible and efficient government that lives within its means. It works with elected officials of both political parties and holds Members of Congress accountable by tracking their votes through its nonpartisan Common Sense Taxpayer Scorecard. It also assists grassroots groups fighting boondoggles in their communities. Erich W. Zimmermann leads TCS’s efforts on transportation and forest issues.
