Betsy DeVos ,was confirmed as Secretary of Education by the U.S. Senate on February 7, 2017 after being nominated by President Donald J. Trump. She previously served as Chairman of The Windquest Group, an enterprise and investment management rm. She also served for 15 years as an in-school mentor for at-risk children in the Grand Rapids, Michigan, Public Schools.
