Recent Action by Congress on Funding for Private Education
The debate over school choice has largely played out at the State level, where governors and legislators have steadily been introducing voucher programs, education savings accounts, and similar initiatives. President Trump and his Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos, have signaled new interest in pursuing such legislation at the Federal level, however.
