Ambassador Le Luong Minh
Vietnam has been a member of the UN since September 20, 1977. Its two-year term as an elected member of the UN Security Council expires on December 31, 2009. Le Luong Minh has served as Vietnam’s Permanent Representative to the UN since February 2004.
