Ambassador Elmi Ahmed Duale
Somalia has been a member of the UN since September 20, 1960. It last served as an elected member of the Security Council in 1971–1972. Elmi Ahmed Duale has served as Somalia’s Permanent Representative to the UN since October 2005.
