Senator Heller has served in the U.S. Senate since May 2011, when he was appointed to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Senator John Ensign (NV-R). He served in the Nevada Assembly from 1990 to 1994, as Nevada Secretary of State from 1994 to 2006, and in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2007 to 2011.
