The IFPMA represents the worldwide research-based pharmaceutical industry and manufacturers of prescription medicines generally. Formed in 1968, it is the main channel of communication between the industry and various international organizations that are concerned with health- and trade-related issues. Prior to joining the IFPMA, Harvey E. Bale was a Vice President with the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America.
