California Drought Relief
Last May, the Senate passed, by unanimous consent, S. 2198, the Emergency Drought Relief Act, introduced by Senator Dianne Feinstein (CA-D). The bill would have directed the Secretary of the Interior, the Secretary of Commerce, and the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency to take actions to provide additional water supplies and disaster assistance to the State of California and other Western States due to drought.
