Representative Baesler, of the Sixth District of Kentucky, was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1992. He was an attorney with the Fayette County Legal Aid Administration from 1967 to 1973, the Vice Mayor of Lexington from 1974 to 1978, Fayette County District Judge from 1978 to 1982, and Mayor of Lexington from 1982 to 1992.
