Cybersecurity Panel
On January 5, Senator John McCain (AZ-R), who chairs the Senate Armed Services Committee, announced that he plans to create a new subcommittee within Armed Services to focus exclusively on cybersecurity. Currently, cyber issues come under the jurisdiction of the Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities, which has broad authority over policy relating to intelligence, counterterrorism, and national security.
