Representative Hutchinson, of the Third District of Arkansas, was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1996. He was U.S. Attorney for the Arkansas Western District from 1982 to 1985 and Chairman of the Arkansas Republican Party from 1990 to 1995. He serves on the Judiciary Committee, the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, and the Veterans’ Affairs Committee.
