The Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act, H.R. 1592, would provide assistance to State and local law enforcement in the investigation and prosecution of hate crimes, and would amend Chapter 13 of Title 18, U.S.C., to make violent crimes against a person motivated by bias against characteristics for which there is a history of such bias-motivated violence a felony.
