The Monday before Election Day, the U.S. Supreme Court considered the subject of Federal elections and State ballot laws — foreshadowing a debate that has embroiled the country following the contested outcome of the recent presidential election in Florida.The case in question began in 1995, when the U.S. Supreme Court, by a five-to-four margin, struck down an Arkansas law imposing term limits on the State’s Members of Congress.
