Department of Defense Property Portfolio
The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) manages a global real property portfolio consisting of more than 539,000 facilities (buildings, structures, and linear structures) located on more than 5,570 sites, on approximately 29 million acres. The Base Structure Report — FY 2009 Baseline represents a consolidated summary of the DoD’s real property inventory, as reflected in military departments’ and Washington Headquarters Service’s native real property databases as of September 30, 2008.
