Geographic Areas of Responsibility

The United States currently has 10 Unified Combatant Commands (UCCs) that provide command and control of the U.S. military forces. A UCC is a U.S. joint military command that is composed of two or more services and has a broad and continuing mission. UCCs are organized on either a functional or geographical basis, and each is commanded by a combatant commander who is a four-star general or admiral.
