Representative Green, of the Twenty-Ninth District of Texas, was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1992. He served in the Texas House of Representatives from 1972 to 1984 and in the Texas Senate from 1985 to 1992. He was a practicing attorney from 1977 to 1992.
