NARP, formed in 1967, is a nonpartisan alliance of railroad passengers and citizens working for more and better passenger trains of all types in the United States. It is the only national organization speaking for the users of passenger trains and rail transit. Ross B. Capon has served as Executive Director of NARP since 1976. From 1971 to 1975, he was Special Assistant for Railroad Operations in the Executive Office of Transportation and Construction, Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
